The Himalayan Bear (also known as Rival Bear) is a main character of the Masha and the Bear series. He is the Bear's rival for the attention of the Lady Bear.

Description[]

The Himalayan Bear is selfish and arrogant, likes to tease and does not disdain cheating. His competition with the Bear for the attention of the Lady Bear is one of the main plotlines in the story; in the ep. 59. Game Over, Bear has a delusion in which Rival Bear has children with the She-Bear.

The Himalayan Bear's hobbies include fishing and pumping muscles. He has been acquainted with Bear and Lady Bear since childhood when Bear's father tried unsuccessfully to turn them into a music group. Since then, he can play some musical instruments.

The Himalayan Bear has a poor reputation in the forest and is disliked by most main characters (in the exception of Lady Bear).

Physical appearance[]

The Himalayan Bear looks larger than Bear (despite probably being younger) and has a dark-brown coat with a white spot in the breast area in a sickle shape (or else in the shape of the letter "V") characteristic of Asian black bears, predominantly living in the Himalayas.
